Bangladesh Export Import Company Limited (Beximco) emerged as the top loser on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the country’s premier bourse, on Wednesday (June 17), the fourth working day of the week.
According to DSE sources, the company’s share price plummeted by Tk 5.80 or 9.9% compared to the previous trading session. This sharp decline dragged Beximco down to the bottom of the daily performance chart, securing the number one spot on the losers’ list.
Regent Textile Mills Limited occupied the second position on the list, with its share price declining by 0.7% (Note: as per provided source data). Meanwhile, Premier Leasing & Finance Limited finished third, witnessing an 8% drop in its share value.
The other companies making it to the top ten losers’ list on the DSE included FarEast Finance, FAS Finance, International Leasing, Sunlife Insurance, Sonargaon Textiles, Shyampur Sugar Mills, and Apex Spinning.
