Sharif Osman Hadi, the spokesperson for Inqilab Mancha, is currently fighting for his life as his medical condition remains extremely critical. In a statement released on Thursday (December 18), the organization revealed that his family has granted permission for a high-stakes surgery to be performed in Singapore.
Medical Condition Worsens
According to the latest medical updates shared in the statement, a recent CT scan indicated an increase in cerebral ischemia (restricted blood flow to the brain). Physicians have described his status as highly unstable. Inqilab Mancha has requested the nation to pray for his recovery and “Hayate Tayyibah” (a long, healthy life).
Ultimatum for Nationwide Shutdown
The organization issued a stern warning regarding the potential aftermath of the situation. The statement urged the “freedom-loving and oppressed people of Bangladesh” to gather at Shahbagh to ensure national sovereignty should Hadi “embrace martyrdom.”
“We will occupy Shahbagh until the killers are arrested, and the entire country will be brought to a standstill,” the statement read.
Call for Extradition
The group also addressed reports of the attackers potentially fleeing the country. They demanded that if the perpetrators have escaped to India, the Bangladesh government must engage in immediate diplomatic negotiations with the Indian authorities to ensure they are arrested and extradited at any cost.
