De-Chut Bhromon Shongho, one of the country’s most prominent travel organizations, celebrated its annual ‘Jolabhati’ (a traditional outdoor feast/picnic) amidst the scenic beauty of Shoja Bordail village in Dhamrai Upazila.
The day-long event was held in a picturesque, naturally stunning environment along the banks of the Dhaleshwari River. Beneath the open sky and on the soft riverine soil, members—both new and veteran—engaged in spirited fun and games, including classic picnic activities like a chocolate hunt, balloon games, and Hari Bhanga (pot breaking).
The chief founder of De-Chut Bhromon Shongho, Muhammad Javed Hakim, delivered a brief speech, expressing heartfelt gratitude and thanks to the volunteers who dedicated their time and effort to making the event a success.
Following the Jumma prayers, the attendees gathered on the green grass to enjoy the main feast. The traditional picnic meal of Khichuri and Doi (yogurt) was served on banana leaves (Kolapata), enhancing the authentic village atmosphere.
The festivities concluded with an award ceremony for the winners of the De-Chut Bhromon Shongho Jolabhati 2025 Photo Competition.
