The Bangladesh capital market experienced a volatile yet ultimately positive week following the national elections. While the market opened the week with a record-breaking surge, a subsequent four-day losing streak pared back much of the initial gains.
Despite the late-week correction, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) ended the period in green, supported by a significant spike in investor participation and trading volume.

The week began on a high note, with the DSEX jumping nearly 201 points in the first trading session after the election. However, the momentum shifted quickly, with the index shedding 134.73 points over the next four consecutive days.
