Rubaba Dowla, the first-ever female director in the history of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), has vowed to uphold a strict zero-tolerance policy against any form of misconduct toward women in cricket.
Speaking publicly for the first time after assuming her new role, Rubaba shared her feelings, goals, and strong commitment to ensuring the safety and dignity of women cricketers.
“I’m truly delighted to be here today and deeply honored to have been entrusted with this responsibility,” said Rubaba Dowla. “Our goal will be to enhance the quality of cricket and move forward together as a team.”
She further emphasized, “Today, I stand not only as a BCB director but also as a woman. Women in our country have come a long way, and we want to make that progress even stronger.”
Addressing the Bangladesh Cricket Conference, Rubaba declared BCB’s firm stance against any form of harassment:
“We will ensure the safety and security of our women cricketers. Our stance on any kind of misconduct or harassment is absolutely zero tolerance.”
Rubaba Dowla also expressed her ambition to expand women’s participation and leadership within the BCB. She pledged to focus on improving infrastructure and professionalism in women’s cricket, marking a new chapter for inclusivity and empowerment in Bangladesh’s cricket administration.
