The voluntary social organization ‘Chandmukh’ has formed a new 21-member executive committee. AKM Rashed Shahriar (Shahriar Polash) has been elected as the President, while HM Jakir has been elected as the General Secretary. The decision was finalized during a special general meeting of the organization held at the Chandpur Sahitya Academy.
The meeting was presided over by the organization’s outgoing President, Mohammad Kamrul Hasan, and conducted by outgoing General Secretary Abdul Aziz Shishir.
During the session, various members delivered welcome speeches, including Russell Parvez, Nazmul Islam, Md. Shahabuddin, and Saiful Islam Sumon. Following a detailed discussion and the presentation of opinions by senior members, the tenure of the previous committee was declared over, and the committee was dissolved by President Mohammad Kamrul Hasan.
The formation of the new leadership took place through a unanimous voice vote. HM Jakir proposed the name of AKM Rashed Shahriar for the presidency, which was supported by Shahmub Jewel and Shawkat Hossain Dipu. Subsequently, Shahmub Jewel proposed HM Jakir as the General Secretary, a motion supported by Abdul Aziz Shishir and Mohammad Kamrul Hasan. Both leaders were elected amidst applause and unanimous consent.
The assembly approved a proposal to form a full committee of 21 members for a three-year term. Based on this mandate and in consultation with founding members, the President and General Secretary finalized the 21-member executive body.

Expressing his commitment, newly elected President AKM Rashed Shahriar said, “Chandmukh is not just a voluntary organization; it is our creative family. This new responsibility will further inspire me to dedicate myself to social service. Our primary goal for this three-year term is to make the organization stronger and more dynamic.”
General Secretary HM Jakir added, “Since its establishment, Chandmukh has engaged in numerous social welfare activities that have earned a place in the hearts of the local people. We wish to expand our social work. Cooperation from everyone—ranging from government and private sectors to individuals—will accelerate our progress.”
Background:
Established on December 16, 2015, Chandmukh has been actively involved in fulfilling fundamental human needs and conducting various social activities. The organization aims to move forward with a renewed pledge to undertake more creative and impactful initiatives in the future.
