Tech-driven banking services across more than 30 commercial banks in Bangladesh are temporarily suspended due to system upgrades and migration works being carried out by the Q-Cash network.
While the duration and exact nature of the service disruptions vary by institution, essential financial services—including ATM withdrawals, card transactions, fund transfers, e-commerce, and Bangla QR payments—are heavily impacted, raising concerns over potential customer inconvenience during emergencies.
Affected Banks and Service Interruption
Institutions such as NRBC Bank, Bangladesh Krishi Bank, Trust Bank, SBAC Bank, Bank Asia, and National Bank have issued formal advisories to their customers regarding the temporary suspension of specific services during the network migration window.

Service Windows: According to one participating bank, ATM transactions, Cash Recycling Machines (CRMs), credit and prepaid card operations, and POS services are suspended from October 4 at 9:00 PM until October 12:00 PM on October 10, though alternative channels like debit cards may remain functional for some.

NRBC Bank: NRBC’s advisory noted that its ATM, CRM, debit-credit card transactions, fund transfers, and Bangla QR services are temporarily halted. However, to ease customer hardship, fund transfers to mobile financial services (MFS) like bKash, Nagad, and Upay remain available via the NRBC Planet app.
