The Advertising Agencies Association of Bangladesh (AAAB) successfully concluded its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on April 15 at the Banani Club Banquet Hall in Dhaka. The meeting brought together representatives from 42 member agencies to strategize on navigating current industry challenges and shaping the future roadmap for the sector.

The session was presided over by AAAB President Sanaul Arefeen. The event saw the participation of prominent industry veterans, including Geetiara Safiya Choudhury, Ramendu Majumdar, Muneer Ahmed Khan, and Yusuf Hasan, alongside members of the executive committee.
General Secretary Syed Ahsanul Apon presented the annual report, highlighting the association’s recent initiatives aimed at professional development, including various workshops and training programs conducted during the last term.
A significant portion of the discussion centered on policy advocacy. The AAAB emphasized its ongoing engagement with key government bodies, including the National Board of Revenue (NBR), Bangladesh Bank, and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Joint Secretary M.A. Maruf formally welcomed new members to the association and introduced the members of various sub-committees, urging all participants to engage actively to strengthen the industry’s collective voice. Other executive committee members, including Dr. Muhammad Risalat Siddique and Mehrun Nesa Islam, were also present to offer insights.
