Bangladesh is set to host a major international exhibition, the “BTKG Expo 2026,” specifically focused on the garment and textile sectors. This landmark event is being hailed as a pivotal milestone for the country’s rapidly expanding apparel industry, aiming to strengthen its global footprint through technological advancement and international collaboration.
Event Details and Venue
The four-day international exhibition will be held at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka, running from April 29 to May 2, 2026. The event will be open to the public daily from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
The details of the upcoming expo were unveiled during a press conference held on Saturday, April 25, at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka, organized by the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA).
Collaborative Effort
The BTKG Expo 2026 is jointly organized by the BKMEA and Inforchain Digital Technology Co. Ltd. The press conference featured key industry figures, including BKMEA President Mohammad Hatem, BTKG Convener Fazle Shamim Ehsan, Inforchain Digital Technology Executive Director Spencer Lin, and Alliant Ltd. CEO Rubaiyat Ahsan, alongside other senior officials from the BKMEA.
Scale and Global Participation
The exhibition is set to be a massive platform for industry players, spanning 20,000 square meters across eight exhibition halls. Organizers have confirmed that the event will feature:

Inauguration and Knowledge Sharing
The exhibition is scheduled to be inaugurated by the Finance Minister, Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, on April 29 at 10:00 AM. The Commerce Minister, Khandaker Abdul Muktadir, is expected to attend as a special guest.
Beyond the exhibition of machinery and textile solutions, the event will prioritize knowledge exchange. The BKMEA, the Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX), and Textile Today will jointly host three seminars. These sessions will focus on the industry’s current status, technological breakthroughs, and future strategic growth.
Organizers noted that this large-scale arrangement reflects the growing global interest in Bangladesh’s textile and apparel sector, providing local manufacturers with unparalleled access to international innovations, networking opportunities, and modernized production solutions.
