Kazi Mahmood Sattar, a prominent figure in Bangladesh’s financial sector, has officially taken over the leadership of IDLC Finance as its Chairman. Prior to this appointment, he served the institution as a Nominated Director.
A Distinguished Career
With a career spanning over 40 years, Mr. Sattar is a veteran of the banking industry. His journey began in 1981 at ANZ Grindlays Bank. Throughout his tenure there, he held key positions both domestically and internationally (including postings in Mumbai and Melbourne) and led the Corporate and Investment Banking division in Bangladesh. He is widely credited with establishing the country’s first formal investment banking structure.
