Meghna Bank PLC has recently announced the appointment of Momtazul Karim N. Ahmed as its new Deputy Managing Director (DMD). N. Ahmed is a seasoned banker, bringing over 19 years of experience in the local and multinational banking sectors.
Career Highlights
Mr. N. Ahmed began his banking career at The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC). He later served at NRB Bank PLC before taking on the role of Head of Corporate Banking at Bank Alfalah Limited, Bangladesh, his immediate past position.
He possesses specialized expertise across a diverse range of areas within banking, including: Corporate Banking, SME and Agricultural Finance, Offshore Banking, Trade Services, Supply Chain and Structured Finance
In addition to his core banking roles, Mr. N. Ahmed has also played a significant role in Cyber Security and in combating Trade-Based Money Laundering (TBML).
Educational Background
Momtazul Karim N. Ahmed holds a strong academic record. He completed his BBA and MBA in Finance and Banking from the University of Dhaka.
Furthermore, he earned a Master of Science (MS) in Strategic Planning from Johns Hopkins University in the United States.
