During his address, he stated that Gono Odhikar Parishad is a youth-centric political party, and therefore, He emphasized that the history of the Bengali nation is a history of struggle. The courageous role of young people was paramount, from the anti-British movement to the Language Movement of ’52, the Mass Upsurge of ’69, and the Liberation War of ’71.
The future of the Dream Bangladesh will be built on the leadership of the youth
Nur further noted that it was the youth who played a pivotal role in the political transition, from the anti-autocracy movement of the nineties to the most recent mass upsurge in July 2024. The student-people participation in the quota reform movement in 2018 broadened its scope, and the anti-discrimination quota movement of ’24 ultimately escalated into a mass movement. The result was the downfall of autocracy and the opportunity to build a new Bangladesh.
