Sanam Javed, a member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) social media team and a close supporter of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has been arrested.
According to reports, she was detained in Peshawar on Monday (October 6).
Pakistani news outlet Samaa TV reported that Sanam Javed was forcibly taken out of her car after being stopped by unidentified men.
PTI leaders stated that two vehicles intercepted Sanam Javed’s car on a busy road in Peshawar before she was dragged out and taken away.
PTI leader Sheikh Waqas Akram wrote on social media platform X that Sanam Javed was “forcibly removed from her vehicle and placed into another car against her will.”

He added that the incident occurred in broad daylight, in full public view, leaving her fellow passengers shocked and frightened.
