DHAKA – MetLife Bangladesh policyholders will now receive their digital policy documents via email within 24 hours of their insurance application’s risk assessment or underwriting process being completed. This initiative sets a new standard for customer-centric innovation in the country’s insurance industry.
Typically, it takes several days for a printed policy document to be delivered to a customer after the risk assessment is finalized. This new digital service will now allow customers to receive their documents within 24 hours, making the process much more convenient. Customers will still receive a printed copy of the policy document in addition to the digital version. This new digital service will be available once all necessary customer information has been provided.
The digital policy document will include the customer’s completed application form, detailed policy information, a welcome message, and the terms and conditions. Like other important financial documents, it’s crucial to securely store insurance documents. The addition of a digital channel will make it easier for customers to safely store their insurance documents and access them instantly when needed.
“At MetLife, our goal is to make insurance simple, fast, and more accessible for our customers. By launching the 24-hour digital policy document issuance, we are not only speeding up the process but also innovating the customer’s insurance experience. This innovation reflects our commitment to combining protection with convenience, ensuring our customers can focus on what matters most in their lives,” said Ala Ahmad, Chief Executive Officer of MetLife Bangladesh.
